Creative Activities
The Krasnoyarsk school of sculpture is characterized by certain features, although it is indirectly the successor of the St. Petersburg school. Due to the fact that the first leading sculptors-teachers were graduates of Leningrad universities (Yu. P. Ishkhanov, Sh. D. Davydov). In general, the Krasnoyarsk school is characterized by: the attraction to the integrity of the composition and the generalized interpretation of the form, the expressiveness of the silhouette, the use of rhythm, the use of graphic techniques, the preservation of lively (expressive) modeling, step-by-step methodical work.
Alexander E. Tkachuk is one of the leading representatives of the school, modern sculptors and teachers. In his workshop of monumental and decorative sculpture, he relies on the rich experience of the entire world of plastic art, not limited to one particular technique. The sculptor uses a diverse approach in his work, where there are no stereotypical motives, constantly recurring plots and well-developed manners. Alexander Evgenievich is based on the experience of the academic school, while conducting a constant creative search in solving compositional problems. Therefore, the figurative series in the sculptor's work is quite rich, and is constantly expanding. For him, an important methodological setting is the individuality of solving a creative task. The most important methodological principle in the pedagogical activity of A. E. Tkachuk is the phasing of work. It all starts with the proportions and relations of the masses, the movement that should be exposed already in the frame. Then the search for the correct silhouette is carried out from all points. After that, the author proceeds to modeling the shapes, paying special attention to the plastic nodes, the reference points of the figure. And then - the elaboration of semitones, work on nuances, where every detail must obey the whole.
Another principle is compliance with the size of the sculpture with its spatial tasks, its location.
The Krasnoyarsk Sculpture School is a developing phenomenon, with its own background, its characteristic methodological guidelines and teaching principles. This phenomenon is dynamic in the craft of teachers who transfer knowledge to their students from hand to hand. A huge role in this process is played by Alexander E. Tkachuk, who has his own individual creative and pedagogical handwriting.
