Creative Activities:
Tuyara Shaposhnikova works in various genres - landscape, still life, portrait, developing them in graphics and painting. However, the most significant part of Tuyara Efimovna's work is occupied by a mythological, ethnic theme. A formal illustrative approach is alien to her. She interprets the plots of the traditional epic, legends and fairy tales in a creative way with a share of abstract vision. Striving for the synthesis of traditional and academic principles, she resorts to stylization and generalization, nevertheless, carefully and respectfully interpreting folklore themes. Complex, multi-layered textures, various techniques and a mixture of graphic and pictorial techniques create a unique handwriting of the artist. In addition to original graphics (watercolor, pastel, mixed media), he works in various printmaking techniques: lithography, etching, woodcut.
T.E. Shaposhnikova pays a lot of attention to pedagogical activity. The Department of Painting and Graphics of the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts, led by her, develops the concept of educating young artists based on the high traditions of the academic school.
