Rogachev Viktor Ivanovich (Russian: Рогачев Виктор Иванович) is a painter, graphic artist. He was born on August 1, 1964 in Mordovskoe Kolomasovo, Kovylkinsky district, Mordovia. Honored Artist of the Republic of Mordovia. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Professor of the Department of "Graphics" of Dmitry Hvorostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts.
In 1983 he graduated from the Ichalkov Pedagogical College, hood-graf, Ichalki village. Mordovia.
1983-89 - Studied at the Orel State Pedagogical Institute.
1984-86 - Military service.
In 1995 he graduated from the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute, workshop of Professor V.N. Petrov-Kamchatsky (now the Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky).
In 2000 he graduated from the creative workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts in Krasnoyarsk, the workshop of Professor N.L.Voronkov.
Since 1996 he has been a lecturer at the Department of "Artistic Ceramics" of the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute.
Since 1998 he has been a lecturer at the Department of Graphics at the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute. Since 2018, the Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
In 2000, he was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
In 2005, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute).
In 2013, he was awarded the academic title of Professor (Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute).
2018 - awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Republic of Mordovia".
2020 - awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation".

Creative Activities
Being a representative of the Siberian school and working a lot in the genre of landscape, Viktor Ivanovich Rogachev in his work managed to go beyond the traditional idea of the Siberian landscape. His works are characterized by a bright and at the same time precisely selected color scheme. Extraordinary, often simultaneous color combinations and a verified proportion of stylization make his works recognizable among other Krasnoyarsk painters. Varying graphic and pictorial means of expression, the artist applies them with ease, as if playfully.
The genre of still life is interpreted here from the standpoint of research, thoughtful contemplation of the objective world. "Concentrating" elements in the center of the composition, the artist often accentuates them with a color line or an expressive spot.
Symbolic, almost abstract-ornamental compositions ("Harmony" canvas, acrylic 2003, "Tree of knowledge" canvas, acrylic 2009, "Continuation" canvas, acrylic 2009, etc.), denote a different, perhaps even more promising line of development of the author's creativity associated with semantic fullness and rich imagery. Doctor of Art History Marina Moskalyuk says: “Viktor Rogachev's work is difficult to compare with anyone else's, his handwriting and style are emphatically individual. At the same time, simple and complex works of the artist always stand out in the exhibition space, hold the viewer for a long time”.
