Porotovy Yulia and Evgeny (Russian: Поротовы Юлия и Евгений) are artists. They were born in 1978. One in Taimyr, the other in Altai. They met in 2002 at the Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute (now Dmitry Hvorostovsky Siberian State Art Academy), which we successfully graduated from in 2006.
Both artists are members of the Union of Artists of Russia. Members of the international network "Machaon International", "Territory of Inspiration". Members of the "Creative Union of Felt Masters”.

Creative Activities:
All their works are created in co-authorship - together, which speaks of a special spiritual unity, mutual understanding and respect of the authors for each other.
The uniqueness of Yulia and Evgeny's creativity is also in the fact that in addition to a full cycle of art education (art school, art college, art institute) both have in their professional arsenal, many more traditional crafts: bone and wood carving, felting, weaving, beading, embossing, painting on wood and fabric. In 2018, relying on the decorative traditions of the indigenous peoples of Siberia, they founded their own brand of designer clothing, shoes and accessories made of natural materials:
They devote their creativity to their native land, and especially to the topic of the far North, Taimyr and the culture of indigenous small peoples, in particular Dolgan, since Eugene is a representative of this amazing, but unfortunately disappearing people, a carrier of its culture and language. His family has kept folklore, epics and costumes of his people from generation to generation. All the artists' works are dedicated to the identity of the Dolgan culture. Trying to preserve and rethink the heritage of our ancestors, to show the beauty and uniqueness of the nature of the north, to trace the relationship of national traditions with the exceptional living conditions of the Dolgans. Artists travel a lot around the world and Russia with exhibitions. In 2004, at the Olympics in Athens, they presented the cultural program of Russia, in 2014 they showed their work at the personal exhibition “Argish" Centre for Northern people in Manndalen in Norway. In 2017, they represented Russia at the VII International Beijing Biennale of Contemporary Art, at the National Museum of Fine Arts in China
Yulia and Eugene never refuse to travel with exhibitions to small northern villages of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, remote and difficult to access, but no less beloved and dear from this. In total, they took part in more than 100 exhibitions and competitions of various levels and scales, representing the culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, not only in Russia, but also abroad. 2018 was especially productive in terms of exhibition activities. I would like to note the personal exhibition entitled: "Dionum on kokoono" (the legends of my people), which was shown in the halls of the State Assembly (Il Tumen) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as well as at all significant exhibition sites of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Shaposhnikov and others. In total, in 2018, the Porotovs held 6 full-scale personal exhibitions. It should also be noted the convincing victory in the International Triennial of Contemporary Art "Arctic Chronotope-2018" the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
During the extremely important time for Krasnoyarsk of the XXIX World Winter Universiade 2019, the Porotovs presented to the audience and guests the exhibition "TAIMYR-the land of ancestors" at one of the main art venues of the Universiade capital - in the Union of Artists of Russia.
