Creative Activities
An iconic artist for the Siberian region, combining various types of art and materials in his work. The synthesis of fine arts, which can be observed in the works of Vladimir Ivanovich and in joint projects with Irina Gennadievna Okrukh, not only demonstrates the range of possibilities of the authors, but also opens up a completely peculiar side of the art of the region. Ceramics and wood, graphics and painting, all find application in creating a holistic and unique image. When looking at the works of these authors, associations arise in memory with the work of such masters of the Russian avant-garde as Vladimir Tatlin, and at the same time, the motives of traditional crafts and mythological rituals of the peoples of the North are guessed. The combination of such seemingly incongruous elements creates a modern form of plastic expression.
The author himself says this about his work: "When creating works, the idea of a sign is extremely important to me. Composing relief compositions of wooden blanks, of various configurations, it is interesting to me to emphasize graphically, to solve my expressive images. Additional rhythms, details are an important factor enhancing the expressiveness of the whole. They should harmoniously fit into the sign that is chosen to reveal the theme when working on any composition. Wooden repeating elements create multiplicity in a single plastic solution. They help to reveal the tension in the imaginative reading of the composition".
