Kononchuk Aleksandr Viktorovich (Russian: Конончук Александр Викторович) is a Russian musician, Professor of the Department of Theory, History of Music and Musical Instruments of the Faculty of Culture and Arts of the N.G. Chernyshevsky Trans-Baikal State Humanitarian Pedagogical University, Honored Artist of the Chita Region, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
He was born on March 9, 1962 in Makeyevka, Donetsk region (Ukraine). In 1982 he graduated from Donetsk Music College (E.A. Borisenko accordion class), in 1989 – Rostov State Music and Pedagogical Institute (currently Rostov State Conservatory named after S.V. Rachmaninov), V.N. Shishkin accordion class, in 1998 – assistant internship at Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts (since 2018 Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky), class of Professor S.F. Naiko
Since 1989, he has been working in the city of Chita: as a teacher at the Trans-Baikal Regional School of Arts, since 1998 - at the Chita State Pedagogical University (currently - the Trans-Baikal State Humanitarian Pedagogical University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky). Now Professor of the Department of Theory, History of Music and Musical Instruments of the N.G. Chernyshevsky Trans-Baikal State Humanitarian Pedagogical University. Subjects taught: the class of the main musical instrument, the class of the ensemble, musical and instrumental training (accordion, guitar), methods of teaching playing folk instruments, the study of the pedagogical repertoire, modern art technologies, orchestration of musical works by means of computer technology.
As a member of the State Chamber Orchestra "Zabaikalsky Gem" Kononchuk A.V. is a diploma holder of prestigious professional international festivals and competitions held in China (1992, 1995), Japan (1992, 2000), Sweden (1995), Spain (2001) and the Republic of Korea (2003, 2004). As part of the Baikal-Duet ensemble, the musician was awarded the title of laureate of the international competitions "Cup of the Far East" (Vladivostok, 1998) and "Baltika-Harmonica" (St. Petersburg, 1999).
A.V. Kononchuk's students have repeatedly won music competitions and festivals, and Alexander Viktorovich himself has repeatedly worked as a member of the jury in competitions of various levels held in Abakan, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Chita, Ulan-Ude. He is one of the organizers of the competitions and festivals "Days of harmonica in Transbaikalia" and "Golden Bars".
In addition to competitive activities, Kononchuk A.V. is constantly and actively working on concert programs. Since 1989, he has performed solo programs, and since 1992 as part of the Baikal Duet (with V. Nekrasov), as well as as a solo artist of the Zabaikalsky Gem Chamber Orchestra. He toured in the Chita region, in the cities of Abakan, Blagoveshchensk, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Ulan-Ude, Ust-Ilimsk.
Creative and pedagogical activity of A.V. Kononchuk was marked by letters of thanks and certificates of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory. In 2002, he was awarded the honorary titles of Honored Artist of the Chita region and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
