0Istratkov Aleksandr Petrovich (Russian: Истратьков Александр Петрович, pronounced [ɪstrɐʹkof]; born 16 June 1964) is a Russian actor, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation.

Aleksandr Istratkov was born on June 16, 1964 in Krasnoyarsk. In 1985 Aleksandr graduated from Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts (since 2018 – Dmitri Hvorostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts), Professor M. A. Kogan’s class.

After graduating from university, he worked at Krasnoyarsk Youth Theatre. Since 1989 he has been an actor at A S. Pushkin Krasnoyarsk Drama Theatre.

From 1986 to 1994, Aleksandr worked as a Senior Lecturer at Acting Technique Department, Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts. In 1993, he started his own advertising agency.

Aleksandr Istratkov also acted as a director at A S. Pushkin Krasnoyarsk Drama Theatre and in some enterprise performances. The most significant roles are: Ikharev (The Gamblers by Nikolai Gogol), George Pigden (Out of Order by Ray Cooney), il Conte (La Locandiera by Carlo Goldoni), Rispolozhensky (It’s a Family Affair – We’ll Settle It Ourselves by Alexander Ostrovsky), Grig (Nameless Star by Mihail Sebastian), Traveler (Simultaneously by Evgeniy Grishkovets), Yepikhodov (The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov), Shvabrin (The Captain's Daughter by Alexander Pushkin), Dwarf Tolya (Bury Me Behind the Baseboard by Pavel Sanaev), Orgon (Tartuffe by Jean-Baptiste Molière), Bill Fordham (August: Osage County by Tracy Letts), Paul Dubard (La Soupière by Robert Lamoureux), Velyurov (The Pokrovsky Gate by Leonid Zorin), The Player (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard). Aleksandr Istratkov directed The Leaning Tower of Pisa by Nadezhda Ptushkina, Le Libertin by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey, The Cemetery Club by Ivan Menchell. In 2002, Istratkov became the winner of the International Festival Theatre without Borders.

In 2006, for his creative achievements, Aleksandr Istratkov was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation.
