0Chudnovsky Aleksandr Valerievich (Russian: Чудновский Александр Валерьевич) is a Russian musician, accordion player, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

He was born on January 12, 1963 in Irkutsk. He began to study accordion playing at the children's central music school in Irkutsk. In 1983 he graduated from the Irkutsk College of Arts, in 1998 – the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts (since 2018 - the Siberian State Institute of Arts named after Dmitry Hvorostovsky), the class of Professor Igor Alexandrovich Gerber.

Since 1988 he has been working as an accordion soloist at the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic. Creative searches of the artist led to the creation of the philharmonic pop ensemble "Retro", which Alexander Valerievich led from 1991 to 2000. Programs of popular music performed at this time enjoyed success, both among sophisticated connoisseurs and ordinary listeners. Siberians are familiar with his work - residents of the cities of Krasnoyarsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Norilsk, Chita, Ulan-Ude, Barnaul, Bratsk, Irkutsk, as well as far abroad - Germany, Finland, China, Mongolia, Israel.

The musician is a regular participant of music festivals, one of the most significant in the artist's creative biography – of an international level – took place in China in 1992. He tirelessly improves his skills, enriching his programs with new works by contemporary composers. His performance is distinguished by genuine virtuoso skill, deep knowledge of various styles, a broad historical outlook, true taste, stage charm and artistry. Alexander Chudnovsky has an impeccable command of both fine filigree technique and large chord technique, which is opposite in nature, which allows him to include works from Scarlatti and Bach to Albeniz and Piazzolla in his programs equally freely. An important advantage of the musician's artistic appearance is his brilliant mastery of both classical and pop repertoire. He feels great and knows how to convincingly embody all the advantages of modern musical genres on stage, complementing them with his own treatments and arrangements. His constantly expanding repertoire includes arrangements of songs and musical pieces by composers Khrennikov, Dunaevsky, Blanter, Tsfasman, Rodriguez and other domestic and foreign authors. Alexander Valeryevich is constantly working on new programs. Some of those that were most loved by the audience: "Accordion from "A" to "Z"", "Universal Accordion", "My friends live here", "Lilies of the Valley", "Let's shake hands" and others. In the program "To My friends" the musician uses modern multimedia technologies. His works are included in the stock recordings of radio channels of Krasnoyarsk, Chita, Irkutsk.

Chudnovsky successfully cooperates with Irkutsk theaters. He arranges and performs music for the performances of the Irkutsk Academic Drama Theater named after N. P. Okhlopkov, for example, his contribution to the staging of the performances "Man and Gentleman" (1990) and "Last Summer in Chulimsk" (2001) is significant, he acted as a musical consultant in the preparation of the play "Poor Pierrot" (2000).

In 1991, Alexander Valeryevich Chudnovsky was awarded a special prize for the best performance of a virtuoso work at the All-Russian Competition of Accordion Players in Chelyabinsk. In 1999, he was awarded a Certificate of Honor by the Committee for Culture of the Irkutsk Region Administration for high performing skills and a great contribution to the promotion of musical art. In 2005, he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation for achievements in the field of art.
